Let Me In ReviewGranted, Matt Reeves' adaptation of Let Me In suffers from having to play sloppy seconds to the Swedish film, but that doesn't make it any less effective in terms of creating a truly memorable horror classic filled with the same degree of tension and emotion. |

'Let Me In' Director Matt Reeves Talks Deleted ScenesWe can't imagine stepping into the very complex shoes of a film director, but if we did, one of the toughest aspects of the job would be those last few days in the editing room, when certain scenes of your film have to be cut for the sake of time, tone, etc. |

Let Me In: A strikingly personal vision of horrorLet Me In : A strikingly personal vision of horror. In many ways very similar to the original Swedish film, Matt Reeves&rsquo Let Me In differentiates itself through its invigorating visual style, and by contextualizing the narrative through the troubled moral atmosphere of Reaganite America. The comments that this film is ‘too much’ like Alfredson’s film are not unfounded; Reeves’ film could not exist without the foundation established by the original. That being said, that is not necessarily a bad thing. Reeves’ pays homage to how brilliant a film Let the Right One In was, while also incorporating his experience and aesthetic to a story he quite obviously has great passion for. |

BFI London Film FestivalThe BFI London Film Festival opens on 13th October for two weeks, showing over 300 feature films and shorts. Let Me In starring Chloë Moretz will be screened for the first time in the U.K. on the 14th - 16th October. You need to be a member of the BFI to book to see any of the screenings. At £40 you may wish to check the other benefits at the BFI website. Let Me In is definitely going to be one of the films of the year and early reviews out of the Toronto Film Festival indicate that this may be at least as good as the original with some articles suggesting that it's even better. This is turning out to be quite a year for Chloë Moretz and looking at the numer of films she has in the works, the production company she has set up with her brother Trevor and mum Terri and her meteoric rise in the film industry the next few years are going to be even more exciting than 2010. |
